2023 Race Details

The 2023 race will take place on Saturday the 30th of September.

Entries open on the 1st of June 2023 via Si Entries. See the entry page for more details.

The race starts at 00.00 hours on Saturday (ie runs in the early hours and day of Saturday) and is for teams of 6 solo runners. This year’s race will be for up to 30 teams of 6 runners. There are no age or gender-related teams, all teams are ‘open’.
The start is at Kincardine-on-Forth and leg transitions will be:

North Queensferry (16.8 miles)

Dysart (20.8 miles)

St. Monans (20.8 miles)

St. Andrews (21.8 miles)

Wormit Bay (20.9 miles)

the finish at Newburgh (15.6 miles) for a total distance of 116.5 miles.
Required Kit

Runners will need to be self-sufficient, there are no aid stations and water will only be provided at leg transitions.

Head torches must be carried by all runners for legs 1, 2 and 3.

Full waterproof body cover, emergency blanket, hat, gloves, route map and a mobile phone must be carried by all runners on all legs.
